- Your overall responsibility is to collaborate with the Trading and Operations teams to enforce Market Price Risk and bring expertise in Risk and Trading to minimize the impact of potential risks on portfolio performance.
- You monitor Operational Risks for Energy Retail and Trading Portfolios, including emissions markets.
- You develop, implement and supervise the organizational setup of our Risk Governance structure, including 4-eye-principle mechanisms, and implement risk guidelines.
- You are responsible for managing and further developing of existing SaaS solutions for Risk and Portfolio Management.
- You implement Portfolio Strategy and overall Risk Management Framework aligned with our senior management.
- You ensure review and verification of input data and define market data strategy for Algorithmic Trading and Risk Control.
- You document hedging framework, decisions, and market deals.
Your profile
- You hold a Master's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
- You are able to communicate fluently in German and English.
- Experience in the Energy Wholesale sector is a must-have. In addition, you demonstrate solid expertise in Risk or Trading, and proficiency in Financial Engineering and Options Theory.
- A profound understanding of Risk Metrics is necessary to manage trading risk effectively and ensure overall portfolio exposure remains within specified volatility or position limits.
- Knowledge of ETRM Solutions, experience with commodity deal accounting like IAS39, and holding an EEX trading license are considered advantageous.
- You possess programming skills in languages such as Matlab, R, C#, VBA or other languages commonly used in Middle & Front Office Trading Roles to verify code written in the Front Office, adhering to the 4-eye-principle.
