Introduced in January 2019, Volkswagen Naturstrom is now available throughout Germany. The Naturstrom Connect smart tariff launches in August 2021.
The Electricity Price Brake comes into effect at the beginning of 2023, capping 80 percent of your previous or forecast annual consumption at 40 cents per kilowatt hour. Above this consumption, you will pay the Elli energy price.
The reduction will be taken into account in your billing from 01.03.2023. You will then also receive the retroactive reduction for the months of January and February. More information on this can be found in our FAQ.
1) Volkswagen Naturstrom Classic: Elli offers a limited price guarantee for a period of 24 months from the start of supply. During this period Elli guarantees not to make any price adjustments due to changes in grid usage fees, billing, procurement, distribution and other administrative costs.
2) Volkswagen Naturstrom Blue and Volkswagen Naturstrom Connect: Elli offers a limited price guarantee for a period of 12 months from the start of supply. During this period Elli guarantees not to make any price adjustments due to changes in grid usage fees, billing, procurement, distribution and other administrative costs.

TÜV NORD conducts annual inspections to verify Volkswagen Naturstrom sources. It certifies that Volkswagen Naturstrom and electricity purchased from eco-power plants in Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland is always carbon-neutral. Volkswagen Naturstrom is generated 100% from renewable sources.
